Now here is a unicorn: a Chilean Carignan, with enough earthiness & terroir to make me think, with a smile… Moulin a Vent? Dark cherries, cocoa nibs, some underbrush, wrapped in a medium plus acidity. Importer Rare Wine Co. well done. About 20$,too. — 7 months ago

Am Buhl Riesling 2020

Frankly quite amazing. 12.5%. Tasted first at the winery in Durbach - Baden and then 2 days later a second bottle at a friends home. One of the best Rieslings money can buy. Mandarine, peach, hint bitter, orange blossoms - so long. Great minerality provided by the decomposed granite this area is known for. Traditionally made. This area is unique as Riesling is a unicorn in Baden which is dominated by Pinot. Obviously opened way to early but hard to resist. More big and round like the Pfalz Rieslings and not steely and sharp like the Mosel or Nahe. — 25 days ago

Fortunate to have enjoyed a few of these courtesy of a generous friend (who opened this bottle). I wish I could enjoy them more often because I find these in a totally different stratosphere than regular Dom. The richness comes out to play and is so powerful. A bit more yeasty than regular Dom in a great way. Incredible every time.

What can I say? Needs about 30 min of air odd at first and than absolutely brillant. Raspberry driven, thyme, touch oregano, lime, quite tannic at first which mellows out in the glass over time. Drink now or keep for 1-2 years more. A benchmark wine. A unicorn, A singleton, no one makes wine like Enderle & Moll. A perfect match with Salmon. Needs food. — 6 months ago

Used the Durand cork screw/fork for cork removal. Just your basic very slow decanting as the wine presented itself in good shape upon opening. Waited 10 mins, then poured. I prefer to watch the wine’s evolution over time. Sometimes theses wines pass too quickly in the decanter.
