Very good and balanced. Better than the last time and would definitely get again. Earthy and good flavor. — 4 days ago

Domaine Tempier

Bandol Carignan Blend 2013

Always love the dark bitter garrigue undertone to these. Blackberry, clove, herbs, hollow cheeks, dry, never plummy. More Kaa the snake to CDP/Southern Rhone Baloo the Bear. This is just entering the drinking window and will evolve beautifully... — 24 days ago

Very good but surprisingly not as great as expected. Might get more interesting with time. The other Merlots seemed more interesting. — 21 days ago

Delectus Winery

Bear Crossing Knight Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Had this a while ago. Don’t recall the details except that (a) it was excellent and in a great place for drinking right now, and (b) it exhibited more depth than the Boulder Falls (which is the next posting - which was also good). — a month ago

Cantina del Pino

Albesani Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2012

Bit of a bolder expression than I prefer for barbaresco in general, but still a very nice wine - especially with beautifully charred steaks at dear old Keens steakhouse. Lots of cherry leaps from the glass. Tannins with some air balance out, but could certainly bear waiting a few more years at least. Mouth filling with great acid and a nice finish. — 19 days ago
