Plenty of black fruit, boldness and spice thanks to the petit syrah here. Another fine effort from Thatcher, one of the region's best. — 9 years ago
High quality Merlot. The intensity in aroma and flavor after ten years is impressive. Well balanced, good fruit, tannins, well integrated. Slightly brickish in color. Really delicious wine. — 6 years ago

A toast to Rosemary Cakebread as we sit to watch season 4 of the CROWN, highlighting other incredible Trail Blazers - PM Thatcher, Queen Elizabeth II, and Diana. This cab can really go another 10 years plus, but enjoyable now with some decanting. cedar and tannins on the nose - casis and fruit on the palette. — 6 years ago
It never gets old sharing champagne with @Madison Thatcher — 8 years ago

JFK is someone I greatly admire, along with Churchill, MLK and Margaret Thatcher. Nice to learn a little more about him, while drinking a 2010 Bdx stunner.
Frankly, this is a Napa clone. Lovely notes of barrel toast, sandalwood, truffle and maraschino cherries, which drift onto the palette. Excellent poise and tannic structure. This wine may very well out-live me. For those of you that enjoy the texture and sweetness of Napa blends, give this a try...
For those of us that like to snoop around, on that middle shelf in the background is: Haut Brion, Harlan, Lafite, Scarlett reserve, Realm and Grange. If you are ever in the NY/NY area, come get some love. Let's see some other pics with organ extensions, please 😃 — 9 years ago

COLOR: Dark amber AROMA: Sweet and woody with notes of dark dried fruit like cherry or plum and confectionary notes of honey, chocolate, caramel, nougat and brown sugar throughout.
TASTE: Sweet and warming. Dried dark fruit notes complete with charred confectionary notes of charred marshmallow or burnt brown sugar. Smoky campfire notes enhance the finish on the palate. FINISH: Warming, long and lingering, this finish does not give up. Very smooth for such a high ABV. Had at Thatcher and Rye on New Year’s Eve. — 3 years ago
