Terroir Sense Fronteres

Vèrtebra Montsant Garnacha 2015

Beautiful perfume. Crushed lavender cherries and sandalwood. Hints of stems. Watered down on the palate. 13% #garnacha from #montsant? = water. Ironic name and label Terroirs without frontiers but with a shield with a Catalan flag? — 23 days ago

Montsant Garnacha Blend 2003

Still going strong with enticing nose of sweet red fruits and Rose floral notes. Silky texture balanced palate with just a hint of bite going into finish. Interesting blend of 50/15/25/10 Grenache Syrah Merlot Cab and a nice new old world mix. RP92 but incorrect varietal mix. WS Top 100 ‘06. — a month ago

Conca de Barberà Pinot Noir 2016

Interesting #pinotnoir from #concadebarbera I have friends (Vega Aixalà) with insane high altitude, mountain slope slate vineyards of Pinot Noir from Conca and it’s pretty good. I imagine that these grapes must come from the higher elevation vineyards in Conca. Conca is really large and actually there are so many different climats, it should be split up into different areas. — a month ago
