Discovered at a wine tasting. Complex and delectable. Tannic!!! And acidic but soft and fruity/spicy. The winemaker makes the most natural wine in a tradition dating back to the origins of the village he’s in, Strekov - in modern day Slovakia — 5 months ago
A work of art like most of the other Fred’s — 10 months ago
2019. Interesting blend of white and red grapes (40% Pinot Blanc, 30% Pinot Gris, 30% Pinot Noir). Labeled as a Dry Orange Wine (30 days skin contact) and not the rosé indicated by @Delectable Wine. Has a little funk, but not of the organic chemistry lab variety of some orange wines. Sour cherry flavors and tannins built up with every sip. Enjoyed more the more I drank! — 6 months ago

If you are ever unconvinced that Slovakia doesn’t make good wine you need to try is wine from Stekov. Fred 8 Is light bodied wine but finds that balance between complex and easy drinking. I saw another reviewer said Brett on the nose and totally agree it’s a little bit barley wine co- fermented but still super ripe. Would be so good with cold charcuterie or grilled chicken. — 2 years ago

Impressive. ABV 14% bit wears it well. — a month ago
