Pop and pour. On the nose: black cherry, currant, oaky vanilla, anise, pencil lead. Taste: Schrader dense/rich, smooth wine with black fruit, currants, spice, oak, fig and a plumy cedar medium plus finish. Not a CCS or RBS, but I would not dump and spit! Cheers! — 2 days ago
Very dark fruit and a bit thick. Also layers of smoke and chocolate. — 3 months ago

If you’ve ever watched high school kids with money, that’s how it felt last night. The Old Sparky was top shelf, displaying black cherries, perhaps a hint of fruitcake, and cocoa powder. Layered and still quite tannic. Finish shows the pedigree of the wine - untouchable.
Personally, I didn’t attempt to ID wotn, as there were so many outstanding bottles.
However, best of all was the company who we shared these wonderful gems with. Love em all. — 9 months ago

Very similar to the Old Sparky. Smokey nose with hints of maple syrup leads into cherry compote. Powerful tannins add to the layers of black, mature fruits and linze torte. Laser-focused finish. Exceptional.
@Mike R, super duper gift, bro. Thank you! — 9 months ago
Could not have picked a better wine or a better time to celebrate with my bride. Paired fantastic with our later courses in the 14 course meal at Hidden Omakase. — a day ago
Outstanding!!! Smooth as silk and wonderful notes of chocolate. — 3 months ago
Love this wine - a notch better than the Schrader RBS imo - Both were amazing - crimson ruby color and it’s a baby still - omg so damn good - black fruits - cherry, currant and blackberry - tertiary notes apparent - deep forrest floor, vanilla, mocha, cedar, graphite cloves and a lovely lavender aroma - bolder than I expected - full-bodied - silky but firm tannins - extremely long finish (45 seconds I bet) — 7 months ago
