At first open, super wild fruits between blueberry and cherry. Strange tartness and range of flavors. Almost disjointed. Wife says it needs airtime. She’s right
With some glass and bottle airtime - maybe 1-1.5 hours - wildness calms down and the wine shows more finesse. It pairs well with steak and holds up but barely. You get the sense this was a riper year.
Overall - a great wine for the 4 year olds birthday — a month ago
Nose was tired, but the palate was dense and integrated. The tannins still could use some time. Serious wine. — 2 months ago
Celebrating Kelsi’s new Job. Fantastic start to finish. Doesn’t get much better than this. — 21 days ago
Pop and pour. A breathtaking dark magenta color. On the nose: dark strawberry/raspberry, forest floor, sandlewood, vanilla cream. Taste: bold, creamy mouthcoating wine with Smokey dark cherries, spiced tea, red plum, oak, and a smooth powerful finish. Still on the young side. Cheers! — a month ago
