New producer to me
Apparently he has been a benchmark for pignolo and schioppettino for a long time
Wine style is big
Wines get released after many years depending when he thinks they are ready
The schioppettino gave me the best impression
Fruit, spices(coriander seeds and white pepper) and a bit of incense
You keep swirling you will get more and more

Cherry, with dark fruit but still bright and light, with a sweet but slightly nutty finish. — 5 months ago
The 2019 Schioppettino is remarkably pretty and floral, with violets and roses complementing its wild red berries and hints of smoke. This is soft-textured and lifted in feel, yet also packed full of fleshy raspberry fruit, as exotic spices build within. It leaves a tinge of sour citrus while finishing lightly structured and with a staining like liquid lavender. Lovers of Schioppettino will fall head over heels for the 2019. Wine dinner at Marble + Rye. Delightful wine with pork terrine. — 6 months ago
Nice but I think a bit less so than previous iterations of this wine. Maybe better a couple years ago, this felt slightly thin at first. But overall still a wonderfully interesting version of Schioppettino - lots of good earth and spice and acid in balance. — 9 months ago
A stately, well-structured red from Friuli. This one had the maturity and mellow character of a wine almost a decade old. The tannins, though no doubt softened over the years, provided enough structure to allow this schioppettino to continue ageing, even if only for a couple more years. Blueberries and vanilla were present on the nose, whereas the palate presented flavors of prunes, raisins, plums, and a hint of tobacco. Very happy to have procured this bottle; it was a great pairing for our Easter leg of lamb! 100% Schioppettino. 4/17/22. — 3 years ago

Mineral lean. Almost thin. But delicious concrete and flint. Last year for this vintage I think — 5 months ago
