My go to Pinot Noir. Dark and spicy. Dark cherry and cinnamon — 2 days ago
This is a nice Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara.
Showing black fruits with tobacco, earth, wood, vanilla, chocolates, barnyard, smoke, spices, coffee and mocha.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and very fruity.
Tangy finish with soft tannins.
Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. Needs a couple of hours to open up properly and show the complexity.
Drinks more like a Syrah blend from California. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. After 3 hours in the decanter, it really feels like a Syrah.
This 5 year old is peaking now.
Aged in French oak barrels for 9 months.
14.7% alcohol by volume.

This is the 2013 Melville Santa Rita Hills Estate Pinot Noir. This is from Lompoc, CA.
On the nose I get cherry, raspberries, cranberry, clove, all spice, orange peel and forest floor.
On the palate there is tart cherry, strawberry, raspberry, clove, hibiscus, vanilla, allspice and earth.
This is a medium bodied wine with medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that move into a medium to medium + red fruit spicy finish. I hope your weekend is going well, here it has been hot and humid. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 22 days ago
Five single-vineyard CA Pinots vs 5 Burgs: Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanee + three 1er Crus Beaunes. All 2005s. Rob Jensen, owner, and Sue Ryan, lead wine educator at Testarossa joined our group for the tasting. This Siduri made a strong showing at #4. — 11 days ago
Really nice Pinot for the anniversary — 6 hours ago
Solid Pinot from California’s Santa Rita Hills. Gushes with cherry with a hint of allspice. We enjoyed this one although prefer a bit more heft and acid. 13.5% — 8 hours ago
Medium ruby hue with high saturation. Aromas of cola, raspberry, sage, strawberry, and vanilla. Medium body, with medium tannins and medium-plus acidity. Silky mouthfeel, though the finish remains a bit oaky and tannic. A worthwhile, highly quaffable Santa Barbara Pinot. — 7 days ago
Last night I had opened the 2008 Au Bon Climat Santa Maria Valley La Bauge Au-Dessus Pinot Noir. I was thinking heavily about Jim Clendenen and thought this would be a nice homage to his work. RIP Jim.
On the nose there is good fruit still cherry, cranberry, raspberry, plum, spice, a muskiness, dried roses, light oak and wet soil.
On the palate even in it's age there is good fruit of cherry, cranberry, raspberry, cola, spice, minerality and forest floor.
This is medium bodied with a smooth velvety mouthfeel even though the experts have the maturity date as 2018 the acidity is still medium with medium minus fine nearly resolved tannins that still leads to a medium to medium + red fruit candied cherry underbrush finish. Have a continued wonderful weekend and please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 8 days ago
