Light in colour with green-silver shine.
Nice reduction in the nose with toasted sesame, salty popcorn, ripe yellow peach and exotic fruit + a whiff of herbs. Fresh & juicy.
On the palate this is nicely rounded with layers of fresh peaches & pineapple and salty, mineral notes.
This has nice depth & complexity yet remains elegant & is (already) drinking beautifully. But I’ll stock up & see how it evolves.
Südsteiermark is becoming my go-to destination for Chardonnay, next to southern Baden & Pfalz (Burgundy becoming too expensive) — 7 days ago
Semi-dry, little sweet and little floral, skin contact that makes me want to have skin contact — 7 days ago
Not as good as the salamander, but in the same league — a month ago
I don’t even have formal tasting notes for this because it was so delicious I couldn’t stop drinking it. One of the best bottles of Chardonnay I’ve ever had. Epic drinkability and geek-ability (if you choose to take a deeper look). — 3 days ago
Biodynamic Barrique Muskateller. A must for fans of „gelber Muskateller“!! Opok is a lime and Clay Marl steep Terroir, reflected perfectly in nose and taste. Vines have never seen herbicide and pesticide!!
Very energetic one, amazing what‘s possible with this grape!!! — a month ago
Incredible. Weighty and generous palate of stone fruits, smoke, earth, flowers, burnt sugar and minerals. Would age well in the medium term but is drinking beautiful now. — 3 days ago
Super tasty from Slovenia! Loved it, great price point. Great summer wine for sharing — 15 days ago
We drink a lot of New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs normally. This wine was recommended by the Aldo Sohm wine book and the wine shop keeper. We really liked it. I prefer this to the NZs we typically buy. — 2 months ago
