Dark tawny brown in colour. Strong molasses/cane earthy smoky aromas. A brilliant palate of Caramel, molasses - a fluid mellifluous palate, so smooth it doesn’t show its 47.5% ABV. Aged in Double charred Oak Barrels. A marvellous Rum from Guatemala - love the raffia basket weave around the base of the bottle - great presentation. — 2 months ago
@Ron R - my friend for life gifted this a year ago - it was time - had a few friends that I thought this would be appreciated by and I was right - Ronnie said decant for 90 minutes and it was sinfully good buy as we consumed each of us remarked this was getting better - the slight bite it was giving made it even better and kept coming back to it - I am a total believer - thank you my brother — 2 months ago
Birthday red for the birthday girl 🍷 all made possible by the people’s champ, @Ron R 🙌🏻 thanks for sending this our way, sir - it’s some seriously delicious juice. I gave it one smell and thought to myself, “This is a 94/100 wine.” Glad to see my initial (and final) assessment was on par with most of yours.
Intoxicating notes of mulled plums, blackberries and blueberries, all baked together with anise, melted Mexican chocolate, and dried vanilla bean. Beautiful, luscious mouthfeel with a velvety finish. This is a winner. — 15 days ago
Glamour photo shoot for this amazing hazy IPA (and for @Ron R , our Delectable IPA ambassador). First time I had this Hazy Mosaic was in the brewery’s hometown of San Diego, and I instantly fell in love. Very thankful I can acquire it locally here in Houston. Juicy, fruity, voluptuous, floral, smooth. — 2 months ago
Very nice and smooth blended rum. I'd buy it if I can find it. — 2 months ago
14’ d'Yquem "Y" 75% SB 25% Semillon.
Let this warm up & open up in the glass for a good 30+ minutes. Medium gold color. Yellow/green apple, apricot, white peach, pear, hint of honey. wrapped in light/medium acidity. Everything plays together beautifully. Wonderfully made wine.
Want to thank Ronnie for not just picking up this wine and throwing it into his wine cellar for the last year +. Just being an all-around great guy. Thanks again for everything. @Ron R . Wanted to give this a proper post from last nights dinner. — 13 days ago
Last ‘14. In 1989, Melville Vineyards, was founded in Sonoma, where Ron Melville grew high quality, Chard, Merlot, and Cab Sauv. In 1996, Ron's desire to grow Pinot Noir brought Melville Vineyards to Lompoc's Sta. Rita Hills, in Santa Barbara County. Ruby with aromas of sweet red fruits and vivid spice. Flavors of raspberry and strawberry, currant like, adding cinnamon and leathery notes. Fine tannins, lingering ending with nice mouthfeel bringing back fruit and subtle spice. Aged well! Nice! — 2 months ago
