Edge Hill
Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay
Renovations update - the stairs are in. And is there a better way to mark the occasion that with a Baciaglupi chard? Presents a beautiful, rich yellow color in the glass. Notes of lemon curd and pineapple almost overwhelm on the nose. The palate is multi-layered, and rounded. Perfect tension between the acid and fruit on the mid-palate. Stunning...

Dec 27th, 2018Monthly WTF wine group. Special event this month as Ben provided all ‘80s Napa cabs. A few of us chipped in and provided some whites/bubbly.
My contribution for the evening as I knew @Benjamin Keator loved this wine. No change in notes compared to my last bottle opened 3 months ago. Big and rich. Powered through 2+hrs of air time. Layers of salted popcorn, butter, and lemon cream. Only other west coast chard that reminds me of this profile is Kongsgaard.

Nuff said! We’ve had a case of it. Another 5/7 years in it.

Sep 15th, 20184th Friday of the month means another monthly Classic happy hour! Great wines, great people.
This was my contribution last night. One of the more profound Cali chards I’ve come across. Powerhouse! The richness and front palate power is very similar to Kongsgaard. Viscous. The notes are honeyed, but not lean...not even compared to the Aubert that was on the table with it. Not overly buttery, more just high quality chard that commands your attention. Mexican vanilla, toasted almonds, and honeyed brioche. The finish goes on forever...lots of cashew, melon, and coconut shell. No stone/tropical fruits here. An absolutely KILLER bottle, @Martin G Rivard , thank you for the intro here!

@Martin G Rivard - HFIC - you are coolest badass I know - this gift is beyond appreciation and rhonda and I are so grateful
I still feel like this is one of the top 5 Napa chards out there - just really hits the long week over Friday relax time feelings I have - thank you kind sir and in the words of the initial Godfather where Luca Brasi says (or paraphase)
“Don Corleone (aka HFIC) on this day you gift me this Edge Hill Chard, I wish you have more bottles show up in your cellar as masterful and as magnificent as this wine sir and I pledge that I will give my undivided attention and devotion to you and the WNH group forever”
I think it went like that -😂🍷👏👍❤️

Apr 1st, 2018This will take a bunch of you by surprise but this is my absolute first bottle of 2012 edge Hill Bacigaluppi that did not literally blow my mind! I consider this one of the top five Chardonnays that I have ever had from Napa and I’ve had a lot of Chardonnays from Napa! It was not Corked but definitely fell 100% flat tonight. No depth, no structure simply fruit. I had friends at the house and was trying to impress them But literally threw this bottle down the drain and open to something else. Oh well, shit happens as they say! @David L @Shawn R @Joe Lucca @Mike R @Ron R @Howard Greenfield @Shay A
