I wanted to like this, more than I did…. Despite ample breathing time, and great expectations from producer, region, grape; it fell short. The fruit sneaked a peak after about an hr… tannins are soft, medium bodied, and medium alcohol, feels soft on the palate and over spiced for a Napa Cab. Nonetheless, wine is wine, and enjoying it while grandfather tell his grandson a story is priceless — a month ago
A rather delightful light golden color in the glass. The nose is incredible right out of the gate with honey and oak tinged with vanilla. Anise, pears, and honeysuckle are lovely here, along with a cacophony of floral notes and earth.
As is usual with Ramey wines, everything here is spot on. The acidity and balance are just right. Bold with plenty of complexity and depth. Definitely a step or two above other California Chardonnays. Just a touch of butter on the tongue with more of that beautiful oak. Yellow fruits galore along with apples and herbs. Really, really nice stuff. — 3 months ago
Drunken night but still made an impression. Black and white pepper and plenty of red berries — 18 days ago
Good but I’ve had way better cabs. Nothing particularly remarkable — 2 months ago

Apple, lemon candy, dried apricot, honey, almond, oak and a hint of salinity. Bright acidity and good minerality. — 11 days ago
