Deep purple in color; plum, baking spices, and black cherries on the nose; medium minus acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like blackberries, plums, and maybe blueberries with a long finish. Probably a crowd pleasing wine. Easy drinking. — 4 months ago

Lime and salt on the nose and palate, a light body, lime zest acidity, and lovely lingering minerals. — 2 months ago
Had this at chef Avillez’s Bairro in Lisbon’s Chiado neighborhood. First time trying a Dao DOC wine, and it was splendid. Medium bodied, dark fruit and peppery. A nice contrast to the lighter vino verde’s I’ve had a lot of in Portugal. A bottle of this in front of me would be dangerous. — 3 months ago

Aroma is very strongly herbal with a parsley? Oregano? note. Bit of citrus blossom. Bergamot. Drinks with strong lemon acidity but balanced by a hint of body and sweetness. Went well with dinner (Portuguese lemon chicken). — 13 days ago
