Apple, pear. Light and refreshing. Delicious! — 5 days ago
Last time I had a Tensley Colson Syrah was about two years ago and it was the 2016. As a youngster, it was a purple fruit, bombastic, hedonistic monster. Tasting this 2012 with some age to it, I’m somewhat shocked it could channel the profile I experienced…as in, when it shed the baby fat, there is a distinct and rich mid palate here without going flabby.
Some bricking is taking place here as the wine pours a dark red with some fading around the rim. Aromatics of grilled dark plum, black currant, black tea and herbs with sweet cherry jerky. The palate is dense and rich with very little acidity, and an integrated finish with not much tannin. Balsamic drizzled black cherries dominate the palate here along with chewing tobacco leaves and muddled red and black fruits. Followed over two days and it stayed consistent. This isn’t getting any better, so drink up. — a day ago
I really liked this. And I am a fan of the obscure charbono grape. Starts out tough and rough but interesting. With a lot of air (I tasted over a few days)... the tough dissipates but all the interesting bits linger. If you imagine what that label taste like... you got it. — 20 days ago
Medium ruby; medium intensity aromas of stone fruit, red plum, roasted red pepper, cedar; dry, medium plus acid, medium plus tannins that feel like peach skin, medium alcohol, medium body, medium intensity flavors consistent with aromas; very bright and fresh with new oak flavors, well crafted — 8 days ago
Leggy. Deep ruby color. Dark cherry, vanilla, currant, and maybe plum on the nose. Leads with lots of medium to dark fruit, then balances with medium tannin at the finish. Really lovely; and this wine is begging for a spicy meat. Note: The more air you give it, the deeper/more complex the fruit. Give it 45 minutes before your first pour. — 18 days ago
Color of different shades of purple, a bit cloudy. Nose of fresh cranberry, spices, strength of alcohol, soda powder, cherry jam, and some more burning sensation in the nasal cavity. Nose is beyond average. Taste follows the nose with addition of sweetness, really soft tannins, blackberry, a bit jasmine tea, and hint of vanilla. Aftertaste is medium, clean, mellow, and enjoyable. Except just a bit too sweet for me, this one is nice! Considering the price tag, she is awesome. — 4 days ago
Color of purple, a bit bubbly and nice legs. Nose of cocoa, a bit burning in nasal cavity, in fact a bit gasoline, a bit of ripe grapes, and some dark fruits. A bit funny with that gasoline nose. Taste of nice acidity, sweet vanilla, mellow and soft with almost marginal tannins, a bit zesty rind to balance out, and a bit black tea. Aftertaste is medium long with a bit black pepper in the throat. On par. — 2 days ago
Pale lemon in color with a green hint.
Fruity nose of citrus, lemons, grapefruits, green apples, spices, tangerine and bitter herbs.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity. Crisp and refreshing.
Dry on the palate with grapefruits, limes, lemons, green apples, bitter herbs, spices, light earth and white pepper.
Tangy finish with limes and almonds.
This is a nice Albariño from the Central Coast. Easy drinking, very refreshing and tangy.
Needs a couple of minutes to open up, and better when not too cold.
A good quality wine and good by itself or with food. I paired it with fresh berries, cheeses and crackers.
Albariño grapes were fermented in Acacia barrels. A small production of only 276 cases made.
14.2% alcohol by volume.

Nose has crushed strawberry, Clementine orange slice, yellow raspberry, red raspberry, green table grapes and moist chalk.
Palate has cherry, (light) raspberry, Clementine orange zest, partially dried strawberry, green melon, (light) steely notes and faint salinity. Nice wine, good finish, think this will settle into a greater spot in a couple years.
Quite a fruit forward profile on the nose, this is presently drinking better than the '19, likely closer to the '18 for immediate enjoyment. We generally hold at least a case on most vintages, for consumption 2-3Y past current vintage. The strategy hasn't failed us yet on satisfaction for this bottling. — 3 days ago
