Pale lemon color with medium+ intensity aromas of green fruits and biscuit notes. On the palate this dry wine shows flavors of green apple, pear, lemon, lime and grapefruit, medium+ acidity ending on medium+ finish. Drink now while it’s fresh, no further aging benefit. Tasting Sample. — 3 years ago
Nose of apple and cherry, white cherry and apricot on the palate with a finish of vanilla and hazelnut liqueur. Sweetness cut by the acid. — 5 years ago
This wine is so intense in its youth but with age has both mellowed out and developed a layered complexity and expansiveness on the palate. I’d give a slight nod to the Prager Klaus from the same year but this is among the greatest Austrian Rieslings I’ve tasted — 4 years ago
Lovely. A bit of light fruit with the complex nut tones in the middle and late. Vanilla, walnut and pecan. Balanced and well thought out.

Super elegant
Lots of flesh, evolution, complexity
From ripe apricot to ginger, cardamom, aniseed, tea leaves, lemongrass, cumin, various herbs and more
Very charming and reassuring sip
I love this old whites that are whispering not screaming at you
I'd say at peak though — 3 years ago

Slightly reductive and wants to be decanted. Bruised yellow apple. Rancid citrus. Cheese rind. Botrytis? Iodine. Mineral. Wants age and air. Good, but not great. — 9 days ago
