A very dry and high acid wine. Good ripe fruit flavors but not overpowering. Almost verging on underwhelming but it was a solid middle of the road variety of flavors that this wine is known for. Would go well with almost anything and this was delicious with cheese and curry. — 3 days ago

Unscrewed 2 nights ago, in the fridge ever since. On the nose: loads of lime, a hint of underripe peach, citrus blossom, wet stone. On the palate: excellent acidity, lime, wet stone, ok density, bitter herbs and slightly clipped finish. Not bad. — 4 months ago

Achleiten Smaragd Riesling 2007

Liquid gold. Nose shows a lot of floral notes: honeysuckle, hyacinth, orange blossom and bergamot. Dry honey, candied citrusfruit and tangerine. In the mouth it’s full-bodied and mineral, contains a wonderful bitterness, deep and spicy acidity (like pickles?), orange liquor, apricotpreserve, wet wool, talcum and crushed rocks.
This is big, impressive, lenghty and very well-balanced.
