Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black cherries, oak, chocolates, tobacco, spices, coffee, vanilla, licorice, graphite and peppercorn.
Medium finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very enjoyable Petit Verdot from Lake County in California. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel. Elegant and fruit forward. Rich, spicy and interesting.
Good right out of the bottle and better after an hour of airtime. I gave it 90 minutes, but it might have needed even longer.
Good by itself or with food. Paired very well with the prosciutto.
100% Petit Verdot grapes, grown at 2,200 feet elevation, and aged in French Oak barrels (40% new). A small production of only 90 cases.
14.1% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

This new offering from Forge Cellars continues to confirm my thought that Cab Francs are leading the way in single varietal reds from this region. Notes of ripe, lush fruits including blackberry, cherry and raspberry, as well as non fruit aromas smoke, earth and clove. This wine was really mouthwatering and delicious.

This is to be honest way better than anticipated. Large dark fruit but no funk on the back. Will definitely buy this more — 16 days ago
Nice off-dry Riesling, better than expected for its age and color. — 7 days ago
sensational! Rare grape for the finger lakes and Julia Rose has taken it and made something special out of this. Lots of citrus, peach and a really crisp finish. Love it — 20 hours ago
Excellent wine, dry and bold but not overpowering — a day ago

Still going strong - now showing same black & blue fruits w/subtle hi-tone note along w/many secondary flavors of minerals, graphite, savory, forest floor and white pepper. Def northern Rhone vibe here, teeth staining, inky brooding & powerfully built, grippy - still can’t believe it’s from Mi — a day ago
