Nose has wet lemon slice, cold lavender, lemon grass freshly chopped, white/yellow flowers, honeydew melon and dry beach sand.
Palate has green melon / white flower mash-up, fresh lemon zest, lavender leaves, slight spice (Gewürztraminer-like) notes, medium finish...very refreshing! Great Effort, 💕❤️Ravines!
Unsure of the exact blend percentages but Morten notes it is a dry blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris & 6% Muscat Ottonel. There aren’t many NY state wines I have found memorable but this one definitely deserves praise. Not as sexy as a French or California Cab Franc but great purity and balance (20% Merlot added). Excellent fruit and enjoyable mid weight red. Congrats to the winemaker!!👍👍 — 12 days ago
Highly unique dry Riesling. Barrel aged in French Oak for 6 mos for a very subtle hint of oak I’ve never tasted on a Reisling - loved and bought 3! — 10 days ago
Nice to taste it from the other side of the country. We land in the same place. Haze is in. — 11 days ago
Smells like grassy lemon butter. Not too acidic, slight melon taste, a teeny bit bitter (in a good way), light, dry, refreshing, and classy. Tiniest bit of earthiness. Probably not worth the price to me ($16), but very good. Would buy again if it were exactly what I wanted. — 13 days ago
