2007 vintage. Decanted and tasted immediately and throughout 1.5 hours. Medium/medium-heavy body. Initially filled with Chambord and sweaty saddle flavors and aromas. Picked up some copper/aluminum flavors along with a distinct, pushy zinc finish after that 1.5 hours. Seems to have enough personality to go steady for another 5-6 years without a noticeable drop-off. 11.12.23. — 24 days ago
Needs a bit to open up and show the exotic nose with pineapple, ripe quince, some freshly grated ginger, a whiff of cardamon, a touch of toasted almonds, a hint of dried herbs countering the exotic sweetness. So complex and so enticing.
Gorgeous mouthfeel, full bodied yet so fresh. Very, very elegant with ripe soft yellow orchard apples & white peach, fresh bright acidity and spicy minerality. With time this loses the initial sweet, fruity touch and turns more savoury, mineral, the salty kick in the finish becoming more pronounced. Impeccably poised & balanced. There’s nice energy here and great depth. Elegant yet vibrant.
A truly lovely wine — 2 months ago
Phenomenal! Dark plum base but layers of exhiberant and concentrated small dark berries and red fruit jump from the glass, but all enveloped in deep, complex earthy tones. Palate is insane, minerality and acidity are tingling, almost sparking on the sides of the mouth, mingling with the very fine lively tannins. So much pleasure without sacrificing any seriousness — 11 days ago
Wednesday random cellar pick. Good. Was expecting some sharpness but there was none. Super smooth and enjoyable. This is the easy drinking kind of wine I like to pair with Italian food. — 21 days ago
Blend of 50% Malbec, 24% Merlot, 11% Syrah, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe berry fruits floral and spicy herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry and juicy plum fruit with spicy herb, cacao and toasty oak. Fine soft tannins, well balanced, good acidity, long finish, almost creamy, ending with fruit & oak. Nice value!

2020 drinking very well after a short decant - beautiful full body with a very persistent finish. Dark fruits, cassis, smoke and mineral / iron accents - great quality relative to the price — 4 days ago
This has really changed or at least this bottle. The acidity has perked up significantly. Very tight on opening, needing about 30-60 minutes of air. Lemon zest, oyster shell and minerals. Beautifully composed, pairing so well with a diverse array of food (tonight was fusilli with clams, Serrano, pecorino, garlic and roasted cherry tomatoes). It’s amazing how this wine went from low acidity and almost flabby to tight with punchy acidity. I have one bottle left that I will likely drink this coming year. — 10 days ago
