Ripe lemon, tangerine and lime pith encircle a warm tropical melange. There are endive sentiments and echoes of ocean brine.
lemon is a big player on the palate, showing three faces; zest essence and racy fruit. A touch of lime keeps it clean and the salinity brings it all home. What it lacks in complexity it doubles down on in subtlety. Def for lighter seafood dishes that need to brighten.

Star bright yellow gold. Abundant, bosomy nose of yellow apples and magnolia blossom. Medium palate yields the same though the flowers show more as birch and citrus rind. Firm, almost tannic acidity — decanting recommended — that softens with some air but makes for a perfect seafood wine. Lengthy finish. 2015 was one of those classic years across Europe. Here’s a perfect entry into Bourgogne Blanc from that year. Drink now through 2030 when you don’t want to spring for Mersault or another paled higher end quaff. — 5 years ago
Imagine picking this up on a wine list for $140!! Yep - welcome to the famous Le Soufflot in Mersault. The Coche reductive struck match is there, along with lemon, white flowers, and mineral. The palate is dense and clearly would benefit from more time. This was excellent, but frankly a bit underwhelming given the reputation. Perhaps +2-3 pts in 5+ years — 10 months ago
Выпито 06.11.21 в Киеве. Безусловно лучшее Mersault в моей жизни. — 4 years ago
I really did not expect this — like a very forward Mersault, a bit smoky, very bright and mineral, but with a round buttery finish. At Arakataka, Oslo — 4 years ago
My first experience with this producer, and wow! White burgundy is very hit or miss for me, but this was a total hit.
In the glass, someone could have told me they poured me Kongsgaard and I’d of believed them. Deep golden color. Even aromatically and initially on the palate it was as though someone blended Kongsgaard (very Hudson like), with mersault. There is a bitter honey/truffle honey note up front alongside overripe peach, honey roasted cashews, and orange marmalade. On the palate, it’s certainly rich but not so much from oak...honeycomb, honey covered cotton candy, caramel dipped golden delicious apples, almond shavings and a kiss of lanolin on the finish. This only improved in the bottle after 2-3hrs of being open. Drinking wonderfully right now. I need to hunt down some bottles! Thanks for the heads up here, @David T . — 5 years ago
