Nice Pinot-strawberry, Cola and spice. High priced though — 16 days ago
No. 8 in the 9 wine Gevrey Chambertin Grand Cru bracket tasted blind. Candied red fruits on nose and palate. The palate of Medium plus to Profound intensity. Not as impressive as most of the others in this bracket. This domaine is owned by 3 sisters and has developed somewhat of a cult following. Ruchottes being slightly higher up the slope than most of the other Grand Crus they might have suffered more frost damage. — 3 years ago
Nice and savoury with notes of dried raspberry. Barely medium bodied. A great food wine in this case Chicken with stir fried vegetables and gnocchi. A fine example of mature Gigondas made by 3 sisters. Like this Grenache dominant southern Rhone style - one of the 1001 Wines. — 3 years ago
Mom’s bday. great balance, Mid tannins, clean finish. Medium berries, some earth, Med structure. not overpowering. Sisters’ favorite. — 3 years ago
60% Cabernet Franc, 25% Merlot & 15% Cabernet Sauvignon
Nose has spring rose, rain moistened red raspberry, black currant and fresh sage.
Palate has lightly tannic blackberry, wet leather, ripe black currant, cigar box, wet clay and tarry black cherry.
Paired with a long cooked Bolognese sauce over fettuccine. Decanted ~3hr, more time in the decanter would benefit. Future bottles can be 2022+
Happy Father's Day 2019 to all. Today I'm posting pictures of our kids, yes they are all furry, independent and somewhat self-interested. Two boys (8) and two girls (2), sisters, all rescued. They generally bring the utmost of joy to my life on a daily basis. It has been a rainy and relaxing day here, everyone is loving the slow pace of life today.
I think that Delectable needs to be able to tag cat+wine posts so that I can make a bookmark for felines. — 3 years ago
Pleasantly surprised by this Norton grown on the Dahlonega Plateau. Reminded me of a spicy zin. Great with steak and BBQ. — 3 years ago
