In this case, actually, the offspring that this wine mimics is the Union of petite sirah & zinfindel. Thick spicy tangy and powerfully cleansing… Yet without being jagged and overly assertive. Delicious! Medium + weight with a long finish. So good it was even simply sippable — 7 days ago
Really lovely. Velvety smooth just the right level of tannins. Good depth. Plum. Nice. — 6 days ago
Love the dark color and boldness of this wine. A bit dry but not off putting. — 5 days ago
Popped and poured; no formal notes. This vineyard was planted in 1886. Bright cherry and bruised strawberry fruits with some orange curaçao, espresso a light kiss of spices. Overall, there’s an impression of freshness that’s super attractive. Forget what you think you know about Lodi; wines like this flip the script. A lovely accompaniment with burgers on a summer night. Only 5 barrels produced. — 19 days ago
Very much enjoyed this Petite Sirah. Included my favorite flavor notes (mocha, black fruit, toffee) with a distinct acidity. — 2 days ago
Popped and poured, consumed over three days and best on Day 2. No formal notes. This is the third vintage of Sandlands “Red Table Wine” from Lodi and it has become a “must cop” for me. Endowed with lovely fruit and zippy acid, it’s very versatile and a sublime pairing with a variety of meals. A combination of three varieties and three vineyards in three equal parts; Cinsault from the Bechthold (1886), Carignane from Spenker Ranch (1900) and Zinfandel from Kirschenmann (1915); 12 barrels and one 500L puncheon produced. — 25 days ago

Popped and poured; no formal notes. Deep straw color. Lemon, Brazil nut, white flowers. Wooly. Great acid. Lovely. Might be the best Lodi Chenin from Sandlands yet. — 10 days ago
