Very famous vineyard and i think chris ringland work on it before. Light ruby rim. Nose of tea lea, caramel. Palate: vanila, blackberry, mineral, stony, very balance and tannin soften and integrated and slight savoury at the end. Cola, liqourish, v complex, herbal hint, soy sauce, bitter sweet, saspiralla and soda — 8 years ago
Violets, cassis and smoke. 64% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, 1% Counoise. Vineyard situated in several parts of Chateauneuf-du-Pape called Lea Saintes Vierges, La Font du Pape and La Crau Ouest. On the label we honor Jean XXII. Native of Cahors, he was the first pope to Avignon as residence. As well, he planted the papal vineyards and ordered to build a new castle (chateau neuf) in the place that should become Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Hand picked and sorted, whole bunch fermentation with punching down for gentle extraction. 18 months in oak wooden tanks. — 8 years ago
Tart cherries and a bit of smoke and mint. Enjoyed with fresh mussels from Loch Ness — 8 years ago
A very specialized whisky - a heavy peated sherry BOMB. Most distilleries don’t bother with this combo because it is thought the two treatments don’t play well together and kind of cancel each other out. I see their point - this wouldn’t be my pick for a great peated or great sherried whisky. However, when i get the craving for that odd combo, nothing else will do. It’s confusing, but delicious. The nose is a great indicator of what you’re getting - smoke first, followed by a wave of dark, stewed fruits. The palate is the same, but with a brown sugar sweetness on the finish. Fascinating dram. — a year ago
Bright red cherry wrapped in deeper tones of tawny roasted fruit lime a grilled Lea h or poached pear. Balanced acidity with expressive tannins. Floral overtone on the finish is delicate, warm. — 6 years ago
Mild peat. Not complex, but no bad at all. Moderate spice on the finish. This distillery seems to deliver a decent product on the lower end of the single malt scotch price spectrum. — 8 years ago

A bright, airy, fresh and lea rioja! — 8 years ago

Darrell Lea Raspberry Liquorice Twists on the nose, with hints of cherry cola and vanilla. Red fruit with a tarry undercurrent on the palate, plus bright acid and driving tannins. Enjoying this. — 8 years ago
Great balance of acidity, minerality and chalkiness that showcases terroir of Cotes de Blancs (specifically wine comes from Le Mesnil sur Oger and Lea Chetillions). Lemon zest, freshly baked bread toast and long, dry finish. — 2 years ago
Smoky and black currant. Dark fruit. — 3 years ago

Notes of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, violet, yogurt and subtle banana on the nose. The pallet presents the same characteristics with some potting soil and red licorice (Darrell Lea Australian Strawberry Licorice not Redvine). Good quality, dry, high acid, low tannin, light body and a medium finish. — 8 years ago

Wilke and Lea brought this bottle from SoCal. Fruity, cloudy, great Pinot that was spicier the next day. — 8 years ago
Subltle, floral notes. Hints of red wine. Lightly peated. A fine dram — 9 years ago

Way too young/too fresh but quite tasty - so light in color it’s almost a rose - cherries the overriding flavor on nose and palate. No acidity and pleasingly quaffable. I think best of the fresh Beauj releases I’ve tried — 6 months ago
