Bright red cherry wrapped in deeper tones of tawny roasted fruit lime a grilled Lea h or poached pear. Balanced acidity with expressive tannins. Floral overtone on the finish is delicate, warm.

Sarsons Monkstown, 45€ Rediscovering Chianti Classico, ticked all the boxes and more, superb wine with blackcurrant, plum, awesome soft tannins (and quite surprised by this), vibrant colour and good on the nose.

Another solid vintage of this fantastic wine. (Tignanello’s little brother). Just a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon is blended in with the Sangiovese. Red fruit aromas and flavors of cranberry, blackberry, black cherry and pomegranate. Hints of vanilla, toasted coconut, asphalt and Asian spices. Full bodied and muscular but not overpowering. Rounded tannins. Excellent!! Revisited in December 2020. Just outstanding. Revisited again in March 2021. Love this wine!

Really solid. More like a brunello.
