This iconic wine is always enjoyable at this age. Showing great complexity and mouthfeel.
Dry on the palate with black fruits, earth, chocolates, tobacco, spices, mocha, coke, vegetables, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
This 8 year old is drinking very nicely now and will age nicely in the next decade.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show some tannins.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
A great wine to have with good friends. Thank you David for sharing.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses. Delicious.
Robert Parker 93 points.
A blend of 80% Sangiovese, 5% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Awesome honey & pain d’épices nose. On palate, sweet but balanced with some acidity. On finish, got Amontillado sherry-like flavors (biological and oxidative ageing) of rancio and yeast. Complex, beautiful. — 14 days ago
Superb white from Antinori. Citric, with a complex bouquet of flowers, lemon and caramel. Structured, round and velvety. Produced not far from Orvietto, which makes me think of the souls raised to heaven in the Luca Signorelli frescos at the Duomo. — 7 hours ago
Black fruit on nose and big mouth med to full. Med length. Delic. 31E in restaurant — 7 days ago
Gripping tannins, nice acidity, black cherry and dried herbs. Top notch Chianti. — 14 days ago
Outstanding. Deep ruby, dark chocolat, tobacco, melted caramel. Round, balanced, elegant. Experts apparently say it should wait a little longer to be properly enjoyed... I’m happy with the explosion of aroma and flavor it already offers! — 6 hours ago
2013 vintage is tasting spectacular right now. The picture of what a sangio should be. — 5 days ago
Just when i was about to throw in the towel on chiantis, this one pulls me back in...a rare, well balanced blend of dark fruits, some background spice, and earthiness that finishes smooth and lengthy... — 15 days ago
