It is Friday night again and I have picked up just recently this 2014 Panther Creek Wimemakers Cuveé from the Willamette Valley that I wanted to try.
On the nose there is cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, vanilla, smokey oak, spice, black olive, violet and earth.
The nose reveals notes of dark cherry, raspberry, strawberry, clove, cola, vanilla, wet leaves, spice, forest floor and earth.
This wine is medium body with medium + acidity and medium sandy tannins that lead to a medium to long earthy fruit finish. A serviceable wine that would go nice with many different dishes. Let's start this weekend off right and make this a great one. Please stay safe and enjoy yourselves. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 6 years ago
Black inky and big. Let's go baby pahlmeyer! — 7 years ago
Past notes apply, but let's go through the motions. Decanted for 45 minutes. Nose: Tobacco, pine needles, soil, and a cherry base. Deep ruby in color, medium plus bodied, medium plus alcohol, medium acidity. More red cherry emerges on the palate, and pipe tobacco... More precisely, my dad's Captain Black from the 1980s. Taste not quite as complex as the smell. Finish is medium. Tannins are perfectly centered. This just misses my 94 point threshold.

One hour decant(decent amount of sediment). A sumptuous dark ruby red with some bricking. On the nose: Sweet perfume jumps from the glass with black cherry, floral, black olives, and a minty menthol. Let's you know to buckle up....a 4 point harness system buckle up!! Taste: Sweet tannins coat the mouth with dark fruit and jolts of red plum, mocha, cedar, and toasty oak.
A full body, juicy wine with great acidity. A pencil lead/mineral looong finish. Drinking great now and will go another 10 years. Got 2 more bottles...YES!! — 4 years ago
I would go out of my way for this Ripasso. Can a wine be meaty and delicate? Yes. Outstanding red that let's you taste the region. — 7 years ago

F Me Wine. Huh. Yup, this has me. Tobacco and oaky lovey goodness. Nothing about this wine says boring steady solid Barbera. It says, "Hey baby, let's make sweet sweet complex indigo berrilicious over and over grape love." And then you can't remember anything that is or was before. So Good. Can easily become my go-to over Macchia Mischievous. — 6 years ago

Let's go out with a bang!
Byeee 2023!
Deep purple in color with a short purple rim.
Strong fruity nose, bold and fruit forward.
Full bodied and dry on the palate, with medium acidity.
Showing blueberries, blackberries, black currants, black cherries, raisins, dried fruits, figs, dark chocolates, cedar, coffee, vanilla, earth, spices, pencil lead, eucalyptus, cola, light mint, bell pepper, herbs and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a gorgeous Napa Valley Bordeaux blend. Very fruity on the palate with great complexity and mouthfeel.
This 14 year old feels and drinks like a young wine. Rich and extracted. Opulent and very complex already.
Fruit forward with lots of earth and green notes. Very interesting stuff. Feels like a blend of Napa Cabernet and Left Bank bordeaux.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of air time, when tannins come in and show more structure. After 2 hours of airtime the tannins become very grippy.
I tried the 2001 vintage a few years ago, and it was so much better. A good quality wine that will continue to age nicely in the next 20+ years.
Robert Parker 97 points. Wine Spectator 96 points.
A great wine to share with friends and talk about.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
