Extra Brut Mélodie en C. Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay

Well look at this. A well crafted Blanc de Blancs that thrills at times. Pretty pale lemon with effusive tiny bubbles and nice perlage. The bouquet is immediately generous and pleasant. Customary citrus and floral aromas. Limestone is here, along with green apples and pears. There’s a charming note of cream scents going on here that allow you to drift away elsewhere a little bit. A bit dreamy and esoteric. Lovely.

Hailing from Avize and sourced from vines up to twenty five years old, this is a rather exciting champagne. This is brisk, zippy, and quite vigorous. The extra brut dosage gives it that pure sense of terroir and excitement. The palate is warm and embracing with a repeat of the citrus from the nose. Wet stone and a bit of smoke in the mouth. Cinnamon notes arrive then retreat, with bitter honey. On the long finish, there’s chalk and the whisper of spice. A truly lovely champagne.

Moulin-à-Vent Gamay 2016

Light ruby colour. Complex nose at first, Burgundian, dominated by raspberry, and white pepper, also evolved vegetal notes, ferrous, undergrowth, etc. many evocations but all in finesse. After two hours of aeration, the wine is finally in place and the finish finally unfolds between raspberry, pepper and undergrowth. Light but chewy. One of my favourite styles!

An affordable wine and beautiful elegance. Peppery nose, raspberry, pinoting cherry, light toasted notes, infused vegetables, floral. Fresh, lively and silky mouth. Beautiful aromatic bouquet. It's fine and crunchy. Can age.

Beaux bouquet aromatique. C’est fin et croquant. Peut vieillir.

Fleurie Gamay 2015

Light ruby colour evoking Pinot-noir.
Beautiful nose that pinote on raspberry and especially vegetable notes: anise, fennel, herbs, dried flowers etc. Delicate mouth with fine tannins, but nevertheless with beautiful chewing material, return of raspberry and pepper in the finish. The perfect Beaujolais bourguignon. I love it!

J’adore!
