La Cuvée Brut Champagne Blend 1812

Half bottle. Quite lovely! The best table on Mirror Lake might have influenced it! Nutty with a touch of brioche. Crisp and savory. A tad short on the finish. — a day ago

Grande Cuvée Grand Siècle No. 24 Champagne Blend

A truly imperious champagne. Exceedingly beautiful in the glass with a crystalline pale gold color. The effervescence is effusive and almost emotional. Nice intensity on the nose with apricots and honeydew initially. Lemon zest and butter along with toasted brioche bread. Faded flowers and honey. Roasted nuts really begin to shine after an hour or so.

As always with Grand Siecle, this is a blend of three years, 2004, 2006, and 2007 for this 24th iteration. Quite the stately and baronial wine. Absolutely ready to drink now but obviously will just continue to grow into itself more over the years. 55/45 Chardonnay/Pinot Noir from 11 Grand Crus, poise is the key here. All is in balance and form. Equally thrilling and reflective. Grace and power. It’s a bit stunning at times.

Very precise and focused, this is pure and driven in the mouth. Citrus is all over the palate, along with crusty bread and fresh herbs. There’s plenty of minerality but also an innate savory nature, as well. This just goes on and on and on, leading to an impeccably long and delicious finish. I’m in lust. A a Tête de Cuvée that drinks like one.

BIO ROSÉ St. Laurent Blend

This wine is the Rose’ version of Carnuntum. Beautiful light salmon color. Blend of St. Laurant (60%) and Blaufrankish (40%). Light Aromas and intense flavors of tart strawberry, minerals and wet stones. Crisp acidity. Well balanced. — 13 days ago

Coteaux Bourguignons Pinot Noir 2021

Blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir, and it shows. Gamay bringing bright fruit and a wild character, with the Pinot bringing violets, cherry and mushroom. Acid brings it all together. Pretty. — 21 days ago

Cuvée Rosé Brut Champagne Pinot Noir

This is a delicious Rosé Champagne.

Light salmon in color with a peachy hue.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Nicely balanced with medium sized bubbles.

Showing raspberries, limes, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, herbs, yeast, spices, sea salt and minerals.

Needs 45 minutes to air properly, bring in more complexity, and smooth out the bubbles.

Rich and full of delicious red fruits, with a smooth mouthfeel. Not bitter nor tart, which I just loved. Tangy and interesting.

Easy drinking and good by itself, especially once it opens up, and good with food too.

A good choice to drink on the boat, with some beautiful weather.

100% Pinot Noir grapes.

12% alcohol by volume.

92 points.
