Ultradition Extra Brut Champagne Chardonnay

Half old school and new school. Lemony, lean, clean with mouthwatering finish. I prefer a little sweeter sparkling. 60% Meunier, 30% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Noir. Dosage 4.5g/L disgorged 6/2021. WHW — 16 days ago

Lemon drop champagne. Great stuff. Ridiculous acid, so nice. Great wine to have around for any occasion. — 9 days ago

Les Grandes Crayères 1er Cru Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs 2015

wow. I’ve only had a smattering of Laherte wines but, wow, that’s gonna change. This wine is just gorgeous, lovely density of fresh orchard fruit and citrus, ginger hints, green apple, spice, not yeasty or oxidative. It’s all in harmony and just delicious. Will last and likely improve. — a month ago

Extra Brut Champagne Rosé De Pinot Meunier

Disgorged 03/2021. Been fortunate to have this a few times this year, this bottle was less tart than the others. Still carried freshness and red berry notes. — a month ago

Les Bessards Hermitage Syrah 2003

A nose dominated by lait cru cheese, French to be sure, that was bizarre and enticing at the same time. All 3 of us agreed that it wasn’t brett or oxidized, just cheese. Beyond the nose was a velvety panoply of light stewed red and black fruit, some pepper and bacon notes. Really nice and fun to drink would not cellar longer. — 19 days ago
