Not as mineral as expected but still great. — 5 months ago
Nice wine. Has a kind of soft roundness to it maybe from the Acacia barrels in which it was partially aged? Wouldn’t necessarily guess gruner. Kind of Chablisienne. Minerality and ripping acid on the back end. Enjoying it more two days after opening.. — 5 months ago
A rather pretty pale yellow with just the tiniest of green specks throughout. The nose is a bit shy at first and takes it’s time to shine but those customary white flowers and citrus begin to show. There’s some luscious vanilla and roasted hazelnuts with peaches. The earthy notes mix with the fruit for a glorious combination.
Talk about drinking above one’s weight. This seriously surpassed my expectations. Taut acidity shines through leaving you with a big smile. Very typical of good Chablis bordering on Grand Cru quality. Rich and complex, this grows so much over time that it’s hard to not fall in love with it a wee bit. An expressive palate featuring lemon and lime with hazelnuts and minerality. Perfectly integrated oak and a whisper of woodsmoke. A seriously charming Chablis that over delivers. — 4 months ago
