At a tasting at the impressive Antinori facility outside of Florence. 90% Sangiovese, 10% other red Tuscan varietals Brief notes. Red cherries and soil; young and tannic. Spotlessly made in this state of the art facility. Delectable: This is the DOCG Riserva - not available in your database. — a month ago
Doing really well at 10 years. Fruit still present, but subtle. Secondary tar notes are well integrated now. Balance is spot on. — 17 days ago
Definite dark cherry. My bottle was well balanced. Not too acidic or tannin forward. Would love to drink this again. I always do well with Montepulciano. — 20 days ago
A blend of 75% Cab Sauv, 18% Sangiovese & 7% Cab Franc, dark Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits, floral spice and flinty notes. On the palate flavors of jammy blackberry, cherry and plum with cacao and herbs with slight minty edge. Soft tannins, well balanced with acidity, long finish ending with fruit, cedar and earthy tobacco. Very nice! Drinking well but will improve over next decade. — 5 days ago

The 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva Marchese Antinori, all from the Tignanello estate, is packed with black cherry, spice, new leather, licorice and dried flowers. A dollop of Merlot adds plush contours, but this is a pretty pushed style, that works well here. Ideally, though, it would be nice to see more Sangiovese and Tignanello character. The Antinori family, one of the world's oldest and most distinguished wine producers, lived in Tuscany since the 14th century. Blend of 80% Sangiovese, 15% Cab Sauv & 5% Cab Franc, less maceration than prior vintages. Deep Ruby, aromas of black berry fruit aromas with herb, mint and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with cacao, vanilla and tobacco spice. Fine tannins, long finish, well balanced, ending with oak, juicy fruit and earthy mineral tones. Very Nice! — 5 days ago

At a tasting at the impressive Antinori facility outside of Florence. 100% Merlot from Bolgheri. Brief Notes - very plummy, excellent dark fruits, a balsamic note. Made for short term drinking I feel, to capture the current fresh fruit flavours. — a month ago

Final wine from our tasting at Antinori just outside Florence in their state of the art facility. All 3 wines matured in French or Hungarian Barriques. Initial barnyard aromas which blew off to reveal florals like lavender and peony. Oak is perfectly balanced and does not intrude in any of the 3 wines tasted. This district is not traditional for Syrah (only since 2000) but suits it perfectly - sandy soils. More savoury and meaty than fruit driven. — a month ago
