Almost Riesling perfection on the nose with smokey flintiness. The palate needs ca. 5 years to catch up though with a slight acidity bringing it off course and balance. Another impressive wine from this producer. Went amazing with smoked salmon and oatcakes! — 6 months ago
Restrained in the nose at first, then delivering lemmon, white flowers, a hint of petrol (early?). High. Acid which extends the lemmon driven aftertaste. Missed the expressive nose I had with this a few vintages back. Maybe a bad moment? — 21 days ago

Superb nose of aromatic limestone, guava, lime zest, fresh juicy limes, some peach and apricot as well but all on a bed of limestone. So pretty. Gorgeous pure and vivid nose. Palate is heavenly. Vibrant and engaging. Floats and is so elegant. Nierstein is a special place for Kabinett. Reminds me of the best the Mosel has to offer. Really the elegance here is top notch. Has the perfect sugar balance as well. It’s truly off dry. Really wonderful wine. Sappy and engaging and really so mineral and focused. Almost 9.5. — 9 months ago
Pop and pour. Glorious nose with lemon, lemon oil, peach, loads of wet stone, dripping with minerality. On the palate: acidity softer than this wine deserves, loads of wet stone, citrus oil, underripe peach. Density is amazing...and so long on the finish. — 5 months ago
Very fragrant with early flowers: lily, honeysuckle, in spring rain. But then something more exotic; jasmine like. On the palate this floats and stings. Transparent, filled with light.
After a few days as the acid rounds, it picks up a beautiful sweetness on the finish. Bodes well. — 6 months ago
Nose is Smokey mineral. Almost a bit savory.
Palate is bright. Almost sweet fruit. Really delicious. Not super mineral on the palate. Very Salivatory. Some richness. Some apricot and apricot peel.
3 hours I’m getting amazing. You get that integrated Richness.
Really classic rheinhessen Riesling.
5 hours in nose some gorgeous nut and vanilla on the nose. Some bizarre German Batard Montrachet from another mother. Some deep crazy shit. So elegant.
Needs 3-4 years. 9.6 floor. Could be elite crazy in 3-4 years if it settles well.

Not the expressivity I hoped for in the nose. Sone baked apple and cider, minerality and a dine acidity, yet not the aromatic expression I would link Riesling with. — 4 days ago
