John Duval Wines

Eligo Barossa Valley Shiraz 2005

Spicy with lots of dark chocolate, black pepper, blackberry, vanilla backed by minerals and softer lavender aromas. Long finish, significant depth. One of the finer shiraz I've had, whether old or new world. — 6 months ago

Storm Wines

John Sebastiano Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020

The most inland single vineyard in the Storm line and showing it’s the least delicate. Structure that will benefit from more time in bottle. This is a great wine that costs too much money. Decant and pair with duck breast and morels. — 2 months ago

John Anthony Vineyards

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Deep Ruby with aromas of red fruits, espresso, cedar and sweet floral notes, aged 16 months in 100% French oak (40% new). On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry and ripe red plum with notes of cacao, vanilla and dried floral herbs. Fine rich firm tannins, long finish ending with fruit, cacao, spice, oak and earthy mineral notes. Nice but need to wait a few years on this beauty. — 4 months ago

Edmunds St. John

Bone-Jolly El Dorado County Gamay Noir 2019

This one disappeared quickly. Fruity and floral aromas on the nose introduced the bright red berry flavors on the palate. Cranberry, raspberry, pomegranate. This almost had the sensation of having cherry-flavored Pop Rocks in my mouth given its slight effervescence. 100% Gamay. 12/22/22. — 9 months ago

Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

Gorgeous wine. Probably the best vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills. The Pinots and chardonnays are more Burgundian. Love this from Tyler. — 3 months ago
