Welcome home , Jeffrey.
So happy it was an issue with your dishwasher and not an issue with Neal. — 5 years ago

Wine night.... at Eleven 11.
Smoke on the nose (Erin)...‘pneumonia’ on the nose (Jeffrey).
And apparently you have notes on all these wines, Neal. — 6 years ago

Very deep crimson in colour. More cassis than tomato bush - throw in some mint and liquorice. Medium to full bodied yet with great intensity in this excellent Clare Valley Cabernet: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc. Thankfully (IMO) no overt Clare Valley menthol (like Wendouree can be). Palate has lovely black currant flavours with fine persistent tannins. Jeffrey Grosset is better known for his award winning Rieslings but has made a beauty with this Cabernet. Has the fortitude to go another 10 years if so desired. — 6 years ago
2014 vintage. Decanted and tasted 30 mins and an hour post-decant. Yellow Chartreuse color. Beautiful vanilla/cinnamon Jeffrey pine at dawn nose. That flowed over into the flavors along with substantial mineral components. Showing great. Very enjoyable. 1.12.24. — 2 years ago
Fascinating old Syrah from the Languedoc (label says 100% Syrah, 13.0 ABV), purchased on release, meaty, smoky, clean, balanced, this has held up amazingly well, medium-long finish, a Jeffrey Davies import from his early days of bringing in Languedoc wines (a most excellent portfolio back in the 1990s)!! — 5 years ago
Nose is typical Haut Brion. Cold year. 南兴园,淮海中路. Jeffrey Chen’s treat. Matthew’s birth year. — 5 years ago

Fruit on the front pallet but finishes nice... smooth and dry. Delish. — 5 years ago

This was the winner of Friday night wine club by a mile; 5 1st place votes. I was fortunate to win with this and never had drank it before. The fruit on the tongue made the difference. This wine won for us because of the advice and help from Jeffrey Bell, sommelier and owner of Eleven Eleven wine shop in the Benson community of Omaha. Here is my point of recognizing Jeffery; if you are in a similar wine competition; seek out a recommendation from a professional like Jeffery. — 6 years ago
13.6% ABV
47% Cab, 20% Merlot, 19% C Franc,
10% P Verdot, 4% Malbec
Traditional Bordeaux blend. Very nice Mr. Jeffrey! — 4 years ago
2019 vintage. Soft, supple nose with a little Jeffrey Pine (vanilla/cinnamon) lurking about. Delicate entry with a noticeably bigger mid-palate push and then the hushed dénouement of the exit palate added up to an intriguing wine. Lots of moving parts and it will be fascinating to see where this is in 3 years. 5 years. A decade. Two. Not your average Napa cabbage. — 4 years ago
Cheers to parallel parking..... and a great bottle of purple angel.

Wine. Damn.
Yoshitomo. Double Damn.
Great suggestion, Jeffrey. — 6 years ago
Dryer, but full of fruit, discovered this by just asking Jeffrey to bring me something — 6 years ago
1st Place and we win.... I haven’t won for about a year on competition because I’m making changes to what I have been going with over what my instincts tell me. Have to give all the credit on this one to Jeffrey Bell at HyVee 132nd & Dodge... thanks pal. Interesting this was the oldest vintage year of the 4 tonight — 7 years ago
