Fantastic unlike any Pinot Gris I had. The age is nice — 6 months ago
Perfect white wine summer drinking. Absolutely delightful. — 2 years ago
Leesy, natty chard. Can’t help but wonder if there might be more tension in the wine if it wasn’t 2015. Not my favorite from Holden, but still tasty! — a year ago
Who said sauv blancs can’t be incredible? Ripe white peaches, wildflower aroma, beautiful structure & color. — a year ago
Honestly, so good. It’s like a party in your mouth. I like that it’s kinda sour but smooth and refreshing at the same time. — 2 years ago

@Delectable Wine this is the 2017 Verspieren-Haberer Grenache Rosé Rosalie.
Second wine for Christmas at my Uncles house in South Africa. Beautiful light salmon pink. Lots of layers on the nose with notes of watermelon, strawberries, and white flowers. High acidity (7/10) and light bodied. Zesty and crisp on the palate. Lovely roses, strawberries, melon and watermelon. Insanely long and lingering finish. Perfect for the hot summer day today, love what Thierry is doing in SA! Drink till 2021. (92+)
Love what Thierry is doing with this Rosé and with all the wines and barrels we tasted today at the Holden Manz Wine Estate with Wayne Buckley-Koch (Marketing Director) and Gerard Holden (Owner). This bottling is made up of 63% Grenache, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Syrah, 9% Cinsault and 7% Cabernet Franc. The fruit comes from various areas in the Coastal Region, like Wellington and Stellenbosch for the Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault as well as Franschhoek Valley for both Cabernets. Gently pressed as whole bunches before settling in the steel tanks for 12 hours and being removed from the lees. Very excited to try out the 2018 if we get a chance, it is supposed to be lighter and more elegant with less Cabernet.
$ - Given as a sample from the winemaker. Retail prices are R105.00 or around $5.00 for a 750mL and R220.00 or around $11.00 for a magnum. Insane value! — 3 years ago
