Freakshow Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Dark black purple. Dark currant with a hint of chocolate taste. Nowadays, I guess you can find a wine label about anything, like. mermaid, prisoner, any animals, sisters, cars, but on a freak show? I have to ask why? Wine was good! — 24 days ago

“San Bartolomeo” Sizzano DOC Riserva Nebbiolo Blend 2013

Lyle Fass

Okay this is awesome. Old school. Cigar, Cuban tobacco, chestnut, tar, dead roses, so so so Nebbiolo. The high toned aromas are just stunning. Really wafts. It’s old school but super clean. Pop and pour and the aromas just kill! Wow. Wow. Palate is just gorgeous. Astonishing purity and freshness and oodles of mid season ripe cherries and wonderful opulence. Superb juiciness. Like 10/10 juiciness. Lovely velvety tannins and such a long juicy finish. So so pure. This is a freakshow. — a year ago

Lodi Chardonnay 2018

2018 bottle has a smaller label but the bottle itself is embossed with the Michael David name.
I prefer their Freakshow Chardonnay because it's less oaky, but that's just personal preference.
A beautiful example of classically delicious Chardonnay

Rotlay Mosel Riesling 2010

Freakshow. First comes the petrol that lingers. Then comes the honeyed fruits. Lots of pineapple and nectarine and marmalade. Beautiful acidity like a sunbeam, that makes this wine seem like it's veering towards a Spatlese, even though technically it's been clocked at TBA levels of sweetness. A crisp dewy finish. Beautiful. — 6 years ago

Freakshow Lodi Zinfandel 2017

Lots of fruit without being jammy, lots of alcohol (15.0%) without tasting hot. A really nice dinner wine. — 5 months ago

Vignane Barolo Nebbiolo 2013

Lyle Fass

One of our new Langhe producers and this is a freakshow. Wow. Nose has bright bright red cherries but they also are sappy and voluminous. Gorgeous roses and hit of licorice and even a slight hint and just a hint of anise. Wow. Leather, chestnut, old library books, tweed jacket. Just so much going on. What a palate. Juicy and complex with a wonderful core of deep, bright and sappy cherry fruit. So gorgeous. Amazing fruit cling on the palate and ample velvety but sturdy tannins. Obviously holding a lot back but really a great and very complete Barolo. Knockout finish with such a briliant hit of that bright cherry fruit. I think in 5 years this will be better it with a 4-6 hour decant. Amazing persistence. — 2 years ago

I found this bottle alone on a shelf with no price in the supermarket. I took a chance because I love their Freakshow. It was a right move. — 5 years ago
