Beautiful acidity, long and fresh — 11 days ago
part of the monthly threesome from
cheers.co.il wine club.
wines i didn't pick but are supposedly choosed according to my taste.
i let my son cover them in tinfoil then i open and try to guess.
this one is a north Portuguese white blend made from three indigenous varieties :
bical, cercial and sercialinho
medium + to full body with mostly citrus variety and hinted stone fruit.
it's power and lack of tropics made me guess it's 🇫🇷 sauvignon blanc. but its so sharp i was thinking chablis is another option.
it's so balanced i thought maybe some oak sorted it all out.
i was confused but impressed.
impressive punch all in all.
paired well with medicore Asian take away of sushi, pad thai and plain white rice.

Good quality fruit — 21 days ago
Really enjoyed this wine on a crisp summer evening. Lighter body with soft tannins and delicious fruitiness made this great for just drinking once dinner was over — 2 months ago
A beautiful light cherry red color in the glass. The nose blooms with floral notes, dried cherries, and soft herbs. This is one of those wines that you would file under easy drinking or fun, but that’s no reason to not take it seriously. After getting plenty of air, it’s so inviting and gracious. Perfectly sweet with just the right amount of fruit, it always keeps an even keel. Layered fruit and spices on the mid palate. Raspberry and cherry are dominant on the palate, along with oak, herbs, and spice. A touch of leather and violets round things off. Tiny production but a truly outstanding wine. If you like standard California Mourvèdre then you may be looking in the wrong place. This is so far above the norm. — 3 months ago
Fresh, light, not too sweet — a month ago
The wine pours a remarkable amber color, evoking immediately an image of autumn. A mild aroma containing currants, straw, and oak portend complexity and dryness. Indeed, after a brief wash of intense bubbles, dried apricot and overripe strawberry lead fresh wood and supportive minerality. It’s an extraordinary wine in origin, content, and physical manifestation. — 2 months ago
