Deep dark fruit, nice spice tones, velvety on your palate. Well done but I believe it all needs to be drunk soon!!! — 3 years ago
Very exiting nose. Confectionery sugars, greens that are sweet, fiddlehead ferns, sugar snap peas, mineral and airy. Even a hint of saline. Palate is elegant, linear and focused. Juicy and clean. A bit simple. Nice but the J bottling of this is really a big step up. Nice length. Good. — 2 years ago
The aromas of these wines transport me. Just like a field. Heavenly. Amazing depth and precision. So refined. Silky this is under $30. Lime zest, lime pith, airy, mineral, calming and zen like. White pepper. Palate is god level. So juicy and clean. Unbelievable refinement. Structured, balanced and so so juicy. Concentrated and deep with spring mineral favors and fresh vegetable flavors. But only the best ones like fiddlehead ferns, bok choy and others of that ilk. The finish is long. Wow. Longer than it should be. This is remarkable for its purity, poise and precision as this bottling always is. As it opens the wine’s aromas become confectionary. Electric acids. Not over the top acids but perfect acids. Gets it to a bit beyond lean. So good. Mineral wall of flavor on the finish. Just divine wine. — 2 years ago
Great floral notes, dark fruit, blackberries, some pepper, really good Pinot Noir body! — a month ago
Very sweet and easy to drink. — 8 months ago
My first Jurgen wine! Nose is complex, perfumed, extremely mineral and smells super fresh. Some herbals and ripe veggies like fiddlehead ferns and bok choy. Very engaging, precise and detailed. Palate is so fresh, elegant and clean. Oh man I could drink a bucket of this. So juicy and precise with a mix of herbs, veggies and huge minerals. Man is this fresh, balanced, pure, juicy and complex. So long, precise and engaging. Palate has barely fruit but is all about minerals, freshness and precision, plus some nice beginner complexity. Long and so satisfying. A great start! As this opens there are stone fruits, peach, apricot and some pluot flesh but it’s still lean and also has a veggie edge with bok choy, fiddlehead ferns and some artichoke leaves. Awesome. — 2 years ago
