Feudo Montoni

Feudo di Mezzo Etna Rosso 2016

This wine is medium ruby in the glass and smells of raspberry, cherry, anise and an earthy note. The palate is like a more savory take on Pinot Noir, with coffee, red fruit and spicy herbs. The tannins are very firm and the acidity is fresh. There is a long finish which carries the red fruit back. — 3 days ago

Feudo Antico

Tullum Pecorino 2019

This Abruzzo white wine is tinted yellow. It smells of citrus, mostly - Meyer lemon, lime and tangerine. There is also an earthy aroma like that of apricots. The apricot note is more noticeable on the palate, with all that citrus coming along for the ride. The acidity is quite fresh, very refreshing. The finish is medium and carries apricot and salinity, along with the Meyer lemon. — 18 days ago

Feudo Arancio

Sicilia Grillo 2019

Aromas - Almond, apple and a little bit of custard. Lovely in the mouth, slightly oily, a bit of acidity and some peach stone bitterness. Plenty to it for the money.

Ps (read the label after making this note - the label says papaya and I can see that - a papaya is also known as pawpaw or 'custard-apple', however in reality as well as tasting of apples and custard, papayas taste of sewage).

Feudo Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese - Nerello Cappuccio 2017

Delectable Wine

The 2017 Etna Rosso Feudo launches up from the glass with an intense and rich display of crushed black cherries, balsamic-tinged brown spice and incense. Its textures are silky, even fleshy in feel, with a saturating mix of citrus-tinged, tart red and black fruits, all motivated by vibrant acidity. This boasts tremendous concentration yet carries it well, as a coating of fine tannin struggles to emerge, creating a push and pull of sweet and sour tension. There’s a lot of warm-vintage character packed into the 2017 Feudo, yet it maintains admirable balance. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2021)

Sicilia Grillo

Light lemon green color...lemon, lime explodes from the glass. Acidity capable of lightening your teeth. Bone dry with amazing depth and length. Works well with take-out Indian. Savory, crisp, clean... perfect patio wine. High-acid, unoaked Italian whites offer a ridiculous QPR and the average consumer knows shit-all and buys boring, insipid Pinot Grigio! — 2 months ago
