Le Val Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Very 2008 vintage with cool red fruit tones, a hint of sous bois and spice. The wine is fresh and bright in the palate. Red cherry, cranberry and pomegranate fruit are surround by great fruit tannins. This is lithe and focused. — 20 days ago

The 2015 Volnay Taillepieds 1er Cru shows a bit of reduction on the nose, eventually clearing to offer undergrowth and bay leaf infused red fruit. The palate is underpinned by firm tannin, impressive depth. Quite a complex and grippy Volnay with superb length. Pascal Roblet has really got a handle on this Volnay.
