Brut Mareuil-Sur-Ay 1er Cru Champagne Blend

Another pleasant surprise. Nose gives up very little besides oats. Beautiful, clean and precise mid palate, with crisp acidity and superfine bubbles. Finishes with brioche notes and moderate sweetness. Definite buy. Very enjoyable - Nougatine on my own. Sniff… — 4 days ago

Les Clos Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay 2007

Ten Grand and 1er Cru Chablis from the 2007 and 2008 vintages, both considered classic years. I found a lot of macadamia on this one. — 4 days ago

Les Vergers Clos Saint-Marc Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2013

Gorgeous. Almost blows and tropical. Lemon, pineapple, salinity, fresh lime. Really luscious and delicious. On the edge of too much but just the right side. Great stuff stuff — 18 days ago

Mes Favorites Vieilles Vignes Mareuil Sur Ay Champagne Blend

Nose is vinous (Chardonnay) very balanced with super fine bubbles. Creamy and slightly sweet (in a good way) cloying finish. Absolutely beautiful!75% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay Bottled 4/2015, disgorged May 6, 2020. WHW — 16 days ago

Champagne Premier Cru Brut Rosé Blend

I don’t think you can get any more perfect for a Rose. Just the right amount of acid and lift and length. Muted berry and stone fruit nose. Red and blue fruits, clean and mouth watering. Love this! Chardonnay 55%, Pinot Noir 38.5%, Mareuil Rouge 6.5% disgorged May 6, 2020. WHW — 19 days ago

Cuvée Marc Rasteau Grenache Blend 2017

Big and bright. Lots of ripe dark fruit. Blackberry, cherry and plum. Black pepper as well as a hint of cardamom and nutmeg. Definitely some tannin left and it’s hot. Great with a steak. — 21 days ago

Côte du Py Morgon Gamay 2019

Part 2 of Columbia County wknd: closed Beaujo, quite refined but this needs a good decant or some time. Black cherries, a plum- ier note. Rather compact body & closed on the nose. Still, nicely accompanied Grilled steelhead trout on cedar planks. I suspect this is one Morgon that needs nurturing. Never had this producer before, to the amazement of the wine store guy. — 4 days ago

Château La Tour de By

Heritage Marc Pages Médoc 2014

2014 vintage. Starting with the 1982 vintage La Tour de By released a high end wine called Héritage from the best selection of the oldest vines. This 2014 is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. It features an attractive nose with cassis, cedar wood and a hint of truffle. Elegant, with soft tannin, a certain complexity and good length. — a month ago
