Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Chardonnay 2011

Ate my notes. On the nose there’s preserved lemon, ripe red skinned apple core, light swimming pool/rain, some ginger, and hazelnuts, some mushroom and moss. Medium bodied, clean, balanced, some honey leading to long mineral finish with a bit of lingering hazelnut skin. Could live longer if anyone is a pervert, but this is really nicely developed. — a year ago

Can'y get enough of Claire's wines. This Ladoix is proof that it's good to know what's beyond the beaten paths. Darker than her Orchis, ample dark fruity but not fruity. Seductive without going into full on sexy territory. — 6 years ago
