Patrimony Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

What a wine, it make your heart rate increase. Compared to mountain cabs of the Napa Valley, this is less robust and more refined. Loaded with layers. Dark cherries, raspberries, marzipan, ginger, coffee bean, herbs, rooibos, rocks, sweet tobacco leaf, preserves and a lot more. The wine is concentrated, long, deep, and fresh, with silky tannins and a long, long finish. It has that ultra- premium feel to it that is very appealing. The team at Daou has accomplished something spectacular with Patrimony. — 11 days ago

Soul Of A Lion Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Tasting the 2020 Soul of a Lion at Daou in Paso. And coincidentally, we were there on their last weekend as an independent winemaker. A nice goodbye before the corporates take over. Dark and concentrated. Beautiful cab. — a month ago

Paso Robles Sauvignon Blanc

2022 vintage at $13 from. What a pleasant surprise! Rounded, no grassiness, barely discernible as a Sauvignon Blanc, which I mean in a good way. — 11 days ago

Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with some Petite Verdot (11%), Merlot (8%) and Cabernet Franc (1%) blended in. Dark ruby (almost purple) color. Intense aromas of cooked black cherry/berry, plums, herbs and spices with a slight hint of menthol. The palate is very fruit forward (same fruits as in the nose) with additional notes of dark chocolate, tobacco, fresh herbs and minerals. Distinct vanilla note on the long finish. Extremely smooth tannins. Juicy and rich. Very well crafted for the price point. — 2 months ago
