Wow, this continues to be one of my favorite Provence rosés, ripe strawberry, cold peach, watermelon rind, damp limestone, white pepper; with +3Y of age we're at peak enjoyment.

On the Lawn at Tanglewood this afternoon with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our conductor Andris Nelsons is leading Julia ADOLPHE (Makeshift Castle), STRAUSS songs with orchestra (Muttertändelei, Opus 43, No. 2 / Wiegenlied, Opus 41, No. 1 / Waldseligkeit, Opus 49. No. 1 / Ruhe, meine Seele, Opus 27, No. 1 / Zueignung, Opus 10, No. 1 / Morgen, Opus 27, No. 4) all voiced by our favorite soprano Renée Fleming, and closing with STRAVINSKY (Petrushka, 1947 version).

*Unfortunately, cellist Yo-Yo Ma has had to withdraw from today's planned performance of Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1 due to testing positive for COVID-19. — 8 months ago

Bright blueish and berry fruits. Medium body. Little punch to it with acid and some tannin. Kinda reminds me of a cab version of a turley zin. Solid — 2 years ago

Medium ruby red with dark core. Tons of black and blue fruits on the nose. Lush, and plush but why the rush? A little bit short on the finish (still medium). Some solid baking spices with moderate tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Only thing holding this back was the finish, otherwise another excellent wine. — 7 years ago

An excellent start to our weekend. Very nice floral notes give way to an elegant, fruit forward wine that screams drink me. It worked very well today in Houston with a temp in the 70’s, but it would really rock on a hot summer day. Beautiful fruit followed by a great finish. — 6 years ago
