Dominio de Pingus

Flor de Pingus Ribera del Duero Tempranillo 2017

Produced by Peter Sisseck, of Denmark, arrived in Spain in 1993 to manage a new project and thought about the old vines around the Ribera del Duero. By the 1995 vintage, Peter had found ancient vineyards that inspired him to make "Pingus," after childhood nickname. Deep Ruby, concentrated dark fruit aromas with gently smoky notes. On the palate cherry and plum flavors, sweet vanilla spice, well balanced, soft warming tannins, long ending with slight oaky tones. Very Nice! — 8 months ago

Fermoy Estate

Reserve Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Herbal aromas (typically Margaret River) with Geranium Capsicum and a touch of menthol. Some green notes - medium weight. Savoury wins out over Cassis and black fruits. Not in the upper echelon of Margaret River Cabernet. Just a silver medal. We went to the Cellar Door some years ago and the story goes that the Reserve Cab was served at the wedding of Prince Frederick of Denmark to Sydney Real Estate agent Mary Donaldson originally from Tasmania now Crown Princess Mary and one day will become the Queen of Denmark. Fred is a keen sailor who was representing Denmark at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and they met at Sydney hotspot The Slip Inn where Fred was flashing his Black AMEX so the story goes and was captivated by Mary and the rest is history. — a year ago

Dansk Mjød

Viking Blod Honey Mead

This Danish Mead is a delicious dessert wine! It’s similar to port with a nice honey flavor. I prefer it to port wine. It’s something you can pour over vanilla ice cream, fruit, add to a hot cup of tea or sip over ice! My Viking ancestors were calling to me to give it a try. I am always looking for white wine with notes of honey and now I know why! Skål!! — 3 months ago

A Change of Heart Kékfrankos

Ruby red color with red pepper and rose on the nose. Rose, on the nose... is as delightful as it sounds. Savoury, medium bodied with a well balanced lip-puckering-give-me-more acidity. A bright, easy going, stable wine to throw on the table at anytime. Your friends will love it. Sounds like the perfect boyfriend. Happy to have a little splash of Hungary in my little Copenhagen kitchen. Köszönöm to Vin de Table 🇭🇺 — 8 months ago
