Vin Gris De Cigare Rosé Grenache Blend 2020

This Rosè needs time to open up otherwise it shows a heavy floral note on the palate.@Randy Fuller you are correct; I am getting spearmint on the nose and palate! Nice nuances of nectarine, strawberries, roses and orange peel. Good acid and fruit balance. — 2 days ago

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Deep purple, almost Inky in color, with a short reddish rim.

Strong nose of black currants, black plums, blueberries, oak, licorice, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, vegetables and black pepper.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs spices, dark chocolates, coffee, earth and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 3 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is starting to drink nicely, although still young.

Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel. Big, rich, fruit forward and spicy.

Needed a couple of hours in the decanter to open up. Will be better in 3 years, and will age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years.

Good by itself or with food, and will pair very nicely with a nice piece of steak.

A blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7.5% Petit Verdot, 7% Merlot and 4.5% Malbec.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

California Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2019

1 hour decant (little cloudy sediment). A prodigious dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: ripe sweet plum/cherry, cinnamon, rich planting soil, and pine. Taste: smooth, juicy, extracted but balanced wine with blackberry jam, chocolate, oak, and a red berry - sweet tobacco finish.

A Andy Erickson Napa wine, less than $50, where have you been....nice value!!

Brut Méthode Champenoise Chardonnay - Pinot Noir Blend 2018

Very light pinkish in color.

On the nose lemons, yeast, earth, limes, green apples, bread, spices, herbs and minerals.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and medium sized bubbles.

Very dry on the palate with light raspberries, citrus, green apples, herbs, earth, minerals, limes, grapefruits, yeast and white pepper.

Tangy finish with limes and light almonds.

This is a young Sparkling wine from Sonoma Coast. Tangy, spicy and easy drinking with a nice mouthfeel.

Nicely balanced and delicate, with nice complexity. Crisp and refreshing.

This vintage sparkling wine Needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years.

Good by itself and better with food. Will pair nicely with oysters and seafood. I paired it with caviar.

A blend of 54% Chardonnay and 46% Pinot Noir. Aged in used French oak barrels. Disgorged in August 2021. Made in the traditional method.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

815 California Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Color of dark purple, look dense. Nose of ripe dark fruits, some milky chocolate, some aldehyde, some spice, some more blackberry and cherry jam, and a bit oaky. Nose is pretty good. Taste follows the nose, with dominant currant and ripe grapes, plus oak, refined tannins, and subtle acidity, a bit peppery spice, lots of flavors and tasty. Aftertaste is also quite long and clean. Just a bit too sweet for me. But a good one. — 6 days ago

California Rosé Blend 2021

Today, every producer has a rosé wine in their line-up; rosé is in such a “fad mode” that it is actually getting more complicated to find a decent rose than a decent white. Nowadays, looking North of twenty-five bucks is a good start. Anyhow; this is dry, peachy, strawberry-ish, clean, bright, balanced with medium intensity on the pallet. Overall , one of the best rosés I’ve tasted this year; for a little more than your average tainted rosé, I must say. — 10 days ago
