Really liked this one. Very flavorful front. — 2 months ago
Strong earthy nose of oak bark and loam. Black cherry, blackberry and currant reduction, cinnamon sticks and clove inform the nose. Plums of red and black just underripe, tart cherry, dried raspberry, tarragon, rosemary, dried violets and graphite shimmers. Young and juicy, much more to give! .

I don’t have a stellar track record when it comes to drinking rock star Bordeaux. The hype always lurks, even though I served this blind to my homie. Interestingly, it’s a sweet wine with layers of cedar interspersed with ribbons of gorgeous red and some black fruits, especially high toned cassis. Great intensity of course & felt the tannins were well integrated at 12years. Clearly the mono-sweetness would transition to tertiary flavors with age, but with life so precious these days, I wasn’t waiting. — 21 days ago
A definite surprise - more vibrant than expected for an 06! Typical sous bois and a long finish. — 2 months ago
Very dark and heavy but pairs well with cheese — 15 days ago
Pop and pour. An astonishing dark ruby red (as best I could tell in the low restaurant light). On the nose: muted notes of black cherry, spice, pine, smoke, floral. Taste: smooth, soft, elegant medium body wine with dark berries, cedar, tar, black pepper, pencil lead, and licorice. Cheers! — a month ago
2015 vintage. Co-owned by Hubert de Boüard (Angélus) and Dominique Hebrard (ex-Cheval Blanc). 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Attractive nose with truffle, red fruit and spices. Fresh and elegant, with perfectly integrated oak, a nice ripe tannic bite and good walnutty length. Terrific value at 12 euros. — a month ago
