Château Clerc Milon

Château Clerc Milon

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2000

Still very drinkable, opens a bit musty but decanted soon looses that to bright cherry and fruit with a long lingering mid-pallet and leather, tobacco notes on the finish. Still good - no matter what the drinkability charts may show!! — 17 days ago

Fattoria La Traiana

Pian del Pazzo Toscana SuperTuscan Blend

Reminiscent of a nice Bordeaux like Clerc Milon. Beautiful cedar notes on the nose and in the glass. Fully integrated tannins with nice complexity. Worth a try from all of you francophones!!! — 6 months ago

Chateau La Tour du Roch-Milon

Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

" it's intense and Frank color conveys greedy woody aromas with hints of pastry as well as red fruit notes. Its finish is vanilla flavored, thanks to its beautiful material coated with a plump roundness." — 7 months ago

Vieilles Vignes Puligny-Montrachet Chardonnay 2009

Ming L

On the nose, the ripe stone fruits and lemon curd were dominated by roasted sesame seeds - first time for smell of sesame, which I wasn’t sure at first but it grew stronger as the night went on.
On the palate it’s much more balanced with vibrant fresh Asian pear and citrus fruits mingling with roasted nuts, honey, and subtle limestone minerality. Linear acidity provides good tension to textured medium to full body. Long delicate finish.

Les Combettes Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2015

A producer I’m not familiar with. Les Combettes combines the intensity of Puligny with the generosity of the Meursault Charmes, which it borders.

I slow ox’ed this for an hour or so before enjoying half the bottle, then re-corked the second half for the next day. Definitely no pre-mox here, thankfully. Day one sported a mellow profile…medium bodied with honeysuckle, lemon oil dripped over limestone, and a high acid quick finish. Day two showed really nice improvement…channeled a bit of a Mersault flair with its richer/more rounded texture showing lemon-honey and sea salt popcorn. I’d hold this 3-5 more years.
