Fruity, dry, but a nice drinking wine — a month ago
2015 vintage. This estate is owned these days by Grands Millésimes de France (also owner of Beychevelle), 50/50 owned by the big French Castel group and the Japanese Suntory. A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. Flirting with overripeness, but still with just enough acidity to keep the balance, this is a seductive crowdpleaser that lacks a bit of complexity. Abv. 14%. — 3 months ago

Nose is so unique with lavender, tobacco, flowers and lots of minerals. Some deep black and red plum as well. Palate is super juicy, with extraordinary concentrating and purity. Explosive tiny plum and berry fruit. Really gorgeous fruit that is clearly defined. What purity the nose really starts to get perfumed but still needs time to open. The palate is really the showstopper here. Superb structure and tannins. Wow is this juicy and just ridiculously delicious. The finish is so long and framed just so perfectly. Wonderful wine. As this airs the structure becomes more serious but the tannins are extraordinary and perfectly ripe. Dazzling length and finesse. World class wine. — a month ago
Score is not fair towards this wine but after the Morgon and the Barbaresco my tasting senses where not 100% anymore. Blockbuster wine from Puglia based on Aglianico. This is for sure a very good wine which will be rated correctly next time I open a bottle. — 3 months ago
