Opens on the nose with the smell of lees, underneath are early summer red 🍒 and a touch of balsamic and a touch of wood- maybe slovanian oak?
Tart, nice balance, refreshing and very drinkable. I was nervous to order it because it was listed under the 'Natural' wine selection but turns out that it's only organic and not bottle of kombucha. Excited to see that I might be able to find this for under $25.

Pleasantly funky! Blend of Syrah (50%) with the balance split between Garnacha and Carinena (Samso). Aromas of bright brambly red berry fruit, cigar leaf and iodine. Just a touch of Brett. Red berry fruit and beef jerky with a touch of black coffee and dark chocolate on the pallet. A slightly spicy finish. Lacking a bit on the mid-pallet a bit but there is such a great balance of acidity, tannins and alcohol that it can be overlooked. A nice little find recommended by Chris at the Vino Volo in DFW! — 14 days ago

Happy Mother's Day! Resin, cherry, white pepper, on the nose and palate. Very sharp, chalky and mouth tightening tannins with medium plus acidity leads to that eye squinting that you may remember from sour Now N Laters or Sour Charms. This is definitely not a polished form of nebbiolo, but I respect the effort. La Ca' Nova's other Barbarescos are better. Stay tuned.
