WOW - what a fantastic Zin- so smooth- will definitely seek out the meed ranch again soon — 18 days ago
Semi dry, so on the sweeter side but well balanced. Honey and apricot, almost mead-like. Carries you across courses — fish, cheese, dessert. Easy drinking but not one-note. K loves this one — 3 months ago
Haven’t had much mead in my life. This is only the second one I’ve had, but I definitely enjoyed it more than first one I had 👌🏼 — 6 months ago
Incredible stuff - they make a few different styles, this is the original recipe which uses darker honey and it just hits my taste perfectly as I love dat funkiness! What we love about this mead is that it is so packed with flavor but not syrupy. Perfect change of pace to dessert wine if a bit one dimensional in flavor profile due to single ingredient... — a month ago
Tropical, fruit forward, almost mead tasting. No bitterness, clean aftertaste. Notes of grapefruit, peach and salt water. — 4 months ago
This Danish Mead is a delicious dessert wine! It’s similar to port with a nice honey flavor. I prefer it to port wine. It’s something you can pour over vanilla ice cream, fruit, add to a hot cup of tea or sip over ice! My Viking ancestors were calling to me to give it a try. I am always looking for white wine with notes of honey and now I know why! Skål!! — 5 months ago
A bit of honey-mead on the nose to start that by the sip, slowly rolls into bright aromas of peach and honey-dew melon. On the palate there is a “lush crispness”, which I’m sure sounds a bit wacky, but it’s there.
Beyond the arrival and display on the palate, the 2017 Barren Ridge Chardonnay is a bit of a revelation when you meet the juicy finish that affirms the quality of the fruit you’ve just ingested.
It’s rock-star stuff. While you can get it. — 17 days ago
